The GA Group, through GIBN, provides a useful platform for Singapore and ASEAN’s growing business sector to link up with one another. Through its strategic apex partners such as FICCI, CACCI, SPRING, SCCCI, SBF & SMF, the GA Group positions itself as the ASEAN industry lobby which advocates proposals, ideas to government feedback committees and raises the key issues impacting Singapore SMEs – both locally and internationally. Singapore SMEs make up a third of the economy in terms of workforce employment and opportunities.

GIBN has organised numerous business missions abroad – in particular to China, India and ASEAN countries such as the Philippines and Malaysia. GIBN’s flagship summits – the Global Indian Business Summit (GIBS) and Global Diaspora Business Summit (GDBS) continues to provide small medium enterprises with a representative voice and a crucial platform to access overseas markets.

GIBN is primarily involved in promoting trade and investment between India and the region. With our wide established network in India, we are currently involved in helping Singapore and ASEAN companies establish themselves in India through trade & joint venture partnerships and registration of companies in India with advice on location, human resource, etc. Besides consultancies to companies setting up in India, we also take focused delegations of Singapore businesses to select Indian cities and states.

Over the past decade, The GA Group has been relentless in the promotion of Singapore’s bilateral trade relations with its global counterparts through the global business summits and conferences which it organises with apex business bodies (among which are SPRING Singapore, FICCI, SBF, SMF, GOPIO, CACCI) and at the same time providing businesses the opportunities to link up with one another through business matching and trade fairs. The company is also involved in promoting trade and investment between Singapore and India and building up the profiles of Indian companies wishing to set up in Singapore. We have assisted Indian companies with market research, potential joint venture partners and setting up offices in Singapore. The companies typically include those with headquarters in Singapore and manufacturing operations in ASEAN countries, as well as representative offices of Indian companies wishing to tap the regional market through Singapore.

On the home front, the GA Group encourages and assists local companies to set up business and operations in the emerging economies of Asia through its incubatees programme which assists SMEs with expansion in new markets, capacity building, maximising returns on investments, incorporation and registration of company in both Singapore and India, brokering and sourcing for companies for joint ventures, legal matters, marketing, public relations and brand development, etc.

To help identify the key concerns and address the needs of its SME member companies and the wider business community, from 2016 onwards – the GA Group will conduct annual business surveys and tie up with its regional partners in presenting useful quantitative and qualitative statistical data to the respective government feedback apparatuses. The GA Group, through the Asia Pacific Business Pte Ltd, will also publish industry and trade-related publications based on expert opinions, internal and secondary sources of data. Past publications include – ‘Asia-Pacific Business 2009 – Supporting Media for Global Diaspora Business Summit (GDBS)’, ‘Asia-Pacific Business Special Edition 2009’, ‘Singapore Your Business Partner – Supporting Media for Global Entrepolis @ Singapore’, ‘Singapore Your Business Partner for India 2007’, ‘Singapore Your Business Partner for India 2005/2006’  and ‘Doing Business With India 2006’.

Internationally, The GA Group represents the Singapore business community on the global stage through participation in prominent international business forums. As the regional secretariat of FICCI & CACCI, the GA Group advocates trade, investment and industrial interests at platforms such as the SME Development Council and the ASEAN India Business Council.
