The Global Diaspora Business Network is presenting Global Diaspora Business Summit 2016 (GDBS) to be held in conjunction with the 3rd ASEAN Legal Alliance Legal Conference, Trade and Services Summit and Climate Change & Food Security Summit. GDBS is a premier diaspora business event, organised by the GA Group as a bridging and networking event for the various diaspora business communities through established networks.
The Global Business Summits is organised by The GA Group Pte Ltd and supported by the ASEAN Legal Alliance, the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) in collaboration with the various strategic partners like, Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce.
GDBS was conducted with an objective to provide a Global Platform for the Entrepreneurial Diaspora (such as Chinese, Indian, Arab, Malay) for the sharing of business ideas, experience, entrepreneurial insights and success stories and to maximize the economic potentials of Diaspora Direct Investments (DDI). The Summits will spur business initiatives which will lead to economic growth and development. As this is a serious meeting of entrepreneurs, it is expected that new ventures, business deals and investment opportunities and business ideas will be generated.
Key note speakers for the opening session of this summit are Jemal Inaishvili, President- Confederation Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry covering Asia Pacific Region and Lu Jianzhang, Founding Chairman- Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce covering China.
Panel session presentations on Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce will be addressed by David Kiang Chairman of Finance Committee, SRCIC President of Silk Road International Development Foundation and Wang Bin Deputy-Secretary General of SRCIC; The project manager of eSilkroad. Panel sessions are followed by country presentations from various participating countries along the Silk Route such as Georgia, Kazakhstan & Nepal. Other panels will discuss the partnership with ASEAN and business opportunities in the transitioning global economy. With the economies of the world facing Post-Brexit EU, Political changes in USA & the Philippine effects on ASEAN will be examined.
There will be a session highlighting Innovative Business Products that are traditional and modern.
Day 2 discussions cover issues in global trade & services relating to the OBOR experience and use of Credit Insurance and Bonds for International Trade. There will also be presentations on current issues in Climate Change & Food security. The legal conference aspect will examine issues in working in different legal systems and regulatory regimes & risks involved, and handling cross border disputes.
